Pokhara Sites and a portrait - Sunday Photos

There is a little herd of 4 buffalo that wander the streets of Pokhara.  If you don't find them laying in the street, they are wandering around lakefront or having a swim.  Here is one of the calfs having a scratch on the boat.

Life is good when you're a buffalo in Pokhara.

Along the way of the ~8km walk I've been doing,  the rice paddies are in full harvest. In an earlier post I mentioned the muppet looking, shuffling hay people and I was lucky to catch these guys before they dashed up the hill. Other rice farmers have a foot pump powered machine that separates the rice from the chaff, and since these bales had the rice still intact I imagine they are heading up to where they have their machine at the homestead.

Paddy, mountains and gliders… Pokhara is a pretty serene place to hang your hat for awhile.

This lady was part of last week's training. I thought her portrait turned out really nice.
