up and at em to see the sun rise - Sunday Photos

6am Sunrise over the Himalayan mountains and my first glimpse of Mount Everest.  We left Boudha where I am staying at 4am, stopped for a quick 5am tea break and arrived at the Nagarkot tower top just in time to see the sky slowly turning red.
The sky was turning bright red ahead as the peaks of the Anapurna Range lit up one by one as the sun rose.

A little glimpse of the countryside surrounding Kathmandu.  Urban sprawl is becoming a real issue as prime
agricultural land is quickly disappearing. My driver, Cass (think Picasso! he said) felt how keenly
interested in farms I was so he took the long way to Bhaktapur to quiz me on crops as we drove by.
